Easter Weekend

The weekend was busy and action filled...Friday started with the annual subdivision egg hunt. Each child has 20 plastic eggs filled for them by their parents. The dads go into the park and sandpit to hide the eggs and then the kids are let loose (see the little gang in the picture). After the egg hunt, we had a pot luck brunch and for some strange reason...Mike and I agreed to let it happen at our house. All I can say is thank goodness for the sunshine, there was no reason for the kids to be inside the house. We set a table and chairs up outside for the kiddies...although they did tend to sneak in...I heard a bunch upstairs and my kids had already left to go to a movie so there was no reason for them to be up there...three little "Christers" as my mother would call them were up in Graham's room...they were properly expelled!
Mom came over for supper of pan fried haddock...she brought her little dog Sofie over who was not looking well and ended up in the hospital that night...she's doing better now but she was pretty sick.
Sat was Graham's last baseball in the indoor soccer facility...they had a little pickup game and he really enjoyed that.
Sunday was Easter...the bunny bought treats for the kids...then Graham took his eggs from the egg hunt on Friday and used the "candy he didnt' like" and make an egg hunt for Mike and I...it was pretty cute but he doesn't just open the closet and set an egg in there...no he hides it in a shoe and then hides the shoe. Took us a while to get all the eggs.
